Achievement
As one of the top petroleum product marketing companies in Oman,
we engage constructively with initiatives within the Sultanate. We
also work in co-operation with partners and local committees around
the Gulf. Significant achievements include the following:
Petroleum Field Achievements
- We are a prominent and active member of
leading industry bodies, including Aircraft Fuel Provision
Companies of Arab Gulf Countries (since 2000) and Arab Union for
Air Transport (since 2001).
- We were one of the first companies to offer unleaded petrol at
its service stations.
- We are an approved supplier to many international and local
commercial airlines companies, in addition to supplying a number of
military aircraft.
Investment & Economic Achievements
- Al Maha Petroleum
was ranked the 6th among the best most profitable companies in Oman
as per the Oman Economic Review Magazine.
- In 2007, we were ranked in the sixth grade among the 20
most profitable companies in the Sultanate, according to Oman
Economic Magazine.
- In 2005, we were ranked in the fifth grade among the 20 most
profitable companies in the Sultanate, according to Oman Economic
Magazine.
- We ranked number 63 on a list of the top 100 most profitable
Gulf companies at the 2003 Conference & Exhibition of Major 100
Gulf Companies at King Fahd Cultural Center, Al-Riyadh, The Kingdom
of Saudi Arabia.
Safety & Health Achievements
- We have an exemplary safety and health record, with no
violations or accidents involving our employees or visitors at any
of our work locations.
- We celebrate our continuing commitment to safety and health
with annual awards honoring employees' who have demonstrated
commendable safety compliance.
- Al Maha's impressive safety record includes completion of
18 years without a single lost time incident in the
Depots.
- Our excellent safety and health record is recognized by
Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), which has issued certificates of
appreciation for the years 2000 to 2011. These certificates
recognize our excellent service with no production delays or
accidents at any PDO location.
- We invite the Blood Bank to conduct annual blood donation
campaigns in the company. In addition, we sponsor public health and
safety campaigns and activities run by the Blood Bank.
Educational Achievements
We are enthusiastic sponsors of government education
institutions, especially Sultan Qaboos University (SQU). We
regularly sponsor SQU events.
Charitable Contributions
We make regular financial contributions to nonprofit institutions
that support members of the community with special needs. Through
our sponsorship activities, these institutions are able to provide
vital services.
Tourism Support
We support the Omani tourism industry by building service stations
at key tourist locations across the Sultanate. We believe that
tourism is vital to the economic success of Oman. Our network of
service stations plays an important role in the support and
development of the tourism industry.
